My Approach
What's important to me is to create space to foster empowerment as well as co-create growth and change at a pace that feels right for you. I believe nobody knows more about yourself than you do. Therefore, I follow your lead and listen to your signs of readiness towards change and self actualization.
Some components to my work values: humor, deep listening, building trust, compassionate, culturally attuned, gently directive when needed, justice and feminist-oriented, anti-racist/oppression, trauma-informed, psycho-spiritual.
Various methods I use: Psychodynamic (tracing childhood experiences to current concerns/dilemmas), Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, somatic (of the body) based, Bilateral stimulation, Neurolinguistic programing, Emotional Freedom Technique (or Tapping) , psycho-education, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration.
Self reflection is necessary for me to be there for myself and for others. This is a life practice of mine which I hold very dear. I'm a human being, ever changing, constantly learning and evolving. I show up in sessions, as myself, and am devoted to doing any work to face my own inner wounding and placement in this world- such as continuously learning to decondition from the systems that oppress us all.

FAQ's
Do you take insurance?
I am working on getting on insurance panels. However, if you would like reimbursement from you insurance carrier, I can give you a superbill with all the necessary information needed. I encourage you to call your insurance company about the details of your out of network coverage.
What is the fee?
My current fee is $150 per 50 minute session. If I am unable to accommodate you, I can refer you to a trusted colleague or provide sliding scale resources.
How often are the sessions?
I will likely recommend that we meet once weekly, at the same time each week whenever possible. I have found that this consistency allows for a trusting working relationship to form more easily, and for the work we do together to integrate more smoothly in your life. Other options, such as bi-weekly, are possible depending on your needs.
How do I choose a therapist?
I often suggest to try things on and see how it feels. Sometimes it's a perfect fit and sometimes you need to sit with it for a little longer.
Because this is an important relationship you are building, I will honor your capacity for trust. We will get to know each other in a setting that's specifically designed to pay attention to you! Since it's important for you to benefit as much as possible, I'm a fan of reviewing how things are going and see if we need to come up with a plan for next steps. Our initial meetings are a chance to see how it feels to work together and to determine if therapy can help you with your concerns. If we are not the right fit, I am happy to refer you to a colleague or provide other resources.
